About the Author

I write fiction about outsiders, rule-breakers, and people who want the wrong things for reasons that make perfect sense when you think about them.

My work is character-driven, emotionally intense, and primarily deals with identity and self-actualization. My sphere is mostly in literary fiction or upmarket genre fiction.

I write stories about isolation. I prefer characters who are difficult. I don’t like cleanly resolved endings. I do not write to tropes.

Some stories take place in small-town churches, others in glossy wellness buildings and nowhere towns, but they all start with one question: What happens when you break the rules and don’t get punished for it?

What interests me most is the gap between what people experience and the story they tell about themselves. I am very interested in the human mind and why people behave the way they do. I consider a lot of my work character studies.

If you like fiction that is intimate, restless, and a little too honest, you’ll probably feel at home here.
